Ingredients
  

Brown Sugar Simple Syrup

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup water

Tequila Espresso Martini

  • 1 oz espresso
  • 2 oz tequila we prefer reposado tequila
  • ½ oz coffee liqueur Kahlua or Mr. Black
  • ½ oz brown sugar simple syrup
  • ½ cup ice cubes

Instructions
 

Make the brown sugar simple syrup

  • Dissolve: In a small saucepan, combine the brown sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar is fully dissolved. Once dissolved, remove from heat and let it cool.

Make the tequila espresso martini

  • Shake: Add espresso, tequila, coffee liqueur, and brown sugar simple syrup to a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously for 15 seconds. Strain the cocktail into a chilled martini or coupe glass. Garnish with 3 espresso beans.
